Flower Hunting

Today, our assignment for Photo 70 was to take pictures of flowers.  The goal was to get a nice, sharp image of a flower or flowers and a blurred background.  We want to achieve a shallow depth of field, which means the objects which have distance separating them should be in different focus.

To find my flowers, I took a trip to Carmel Beach and Point Lobos with John Lee, Noah and Dylan Freedman.  After battling poison ivy, and chilly wind, I found beautifully situated flowers.

  3. Hey Fortune8, no problem your site is very interesting. I use a Canon 40D (an older Canon digital) with an entry level Sigma 18-200 walk around lens.
