MIDNIGHT MONDAY: Versailles Backyard

MIDNIGHT MONDAY: Versailles Backyard.  Today is the start of a new era.  It's Midnight Monday, the day for black and white photos.  Every Monday I will post a new black and white photo.  Today, a black and white of Versailles' backyard thanks to Cassi Hoye and Sophia Zumot for the inspiration!

Sunday Link Treats: WHATEVERLAND

Today is the start of Sunday Link Treats.  Every Sunday, I will be linking you to another photography blog that I find enjoyable, and that I think you guys will enjoy too.  I think this is a nice way of both spreading the love and giving you all something new to feast your eyes upon.

Today, I present to you WHATEVERLAND.  It's a site based in Chicago and run by a guy named Archie.  He posts a lot of single shots that are very modern and colorful.  Take a look!

FINE ART FRIDAYS: Central Park in Black and White

Central Park in Black and White.  Today is the start of Fine Art Fridays.  Every Friday, for the Fine Art Friday episode, I will post one of my gems.  It's about the art of the photo rather than the story.  Here's one of my favorite from my trip to New York, a scene in Central Park.

WALKABOUT WEDNESDAY Street Dancer Flip NYC

IT'S WALKABOUT WEDNESDAY FOLKS!  I want to introduce a new theme with Street Dancer Flip NYC.  Every Wednesday is going to be Walkabout Wednesday.  Think of it as a story, or a series of photos that come together to show an adventure, however big or small.  A Walkabout is formally defined as: 'a journey on foot undertaken by an Australian Aboriginal in order to live in the traditional manner.'  My stories on Walkabout Wednesday are journeys as well, taken [mostly] on foot and with my camera in an attempt to show the traditional manner of living of a particular person, group of people, or culture.

Today's Walkabout Wednesday features the grand finale flip at the end of a street performance.  This is a highly sought after trick, so enjoy the photos...

Paris Ambulance

Paris Ambulance.  One thing that there are a lot of in Paris are emergency vehicles and sirens.  Here's a hospital that seemed to be the source of a lot of the noise...

Lonely Paddleboarder Out At Sea

A lonely paddleboader out at sea in Biarritz, France.  This was a cool shot that I managed to snap late in the evening.  A standup paddleboarder coming in from a long paddle...

Trip to Castles Surf Spot

A Trip to Castles Surf Spot.  We did it by accident.  We were looking for surf in Big Sur, when we decided to make the 90 mile trip from Carmel to Hearst Castle.  Out front, there's a great surf spot, Castles.  On the way we had some adventures.  Enjoy the photos...

Stay in MGM Grand Hotel VEGAS

Our stay in MGM Grand Hotel in Vegas. It was quite the trip, and was a celebration of my 21st birthday. One of the coolest parts of the MGM Grand hotel was the pack of lions. You just walk down from your room after breakfast, and you're greeted by a family of large four-legged hairy predators.

Enjoy the photos...
