Everyday Specialties

I've been focusing a lot on the major landmarks of Paris.  Sure, the big attractions are great, but what makes Paris special are the subtle differences.  The culture, the everyday life, the houses, the signs, the vehicles- everything is special.

With this blog, I want to show you some of these things.  Enjoy the photos...

Flower Hunting

Today, our assignment for Photo 70 was to take pictures of flowers.  The goal was to get a nice, sharp image of a flower or flowers and a blurred background.  We want to achieve a shallow depth of field, which means the objects which have distance separating them should be in different focus.

To find my flowers, I took a trip to Carmel Beach and Point Lobos with John Lee, Noah and Dylan Freedman.  After battling poison ivy, and chilly wind, I found beautifully situated flowers.

The Dancing Fountain of Versailles

The Dancing Fountain of Versailles (named by none other than moi) was definitely one of the coolest things that I saw in France.  There were loud speakers surrounding the fountain play a classic composition by some famous musician.  The fountain would dance, and twirl, and shoot, and twist to the symphony and it was truly something to behold.

Enjoy the photos!

Tour Eiffel a Nuit

The Eiffel Tower is a spectacle at any time of day, but when it really comes to life is at night.  Both from afar and up close, the building is amazing.  The texture, the shape, the size, and the magnificence of it all is overwhelming.

Here are some pictures for your enjoyment...
