The French don't seem to be fond of mediocrity. I found that everything in France is done to the extreme. This is even evidenced in their history: Napoleon would settle for conquering nothing less than all of Europe. Quite ambitious.
Though not quite as extreme as complete European conquest, there are still many examples of extremes that I found in Paris. Enjoy...
The Strangest Advertisements
The Most Converse Shoes in a Billboard
The Biggest iPad Banner
The Coolest Car Store
The Most Exhaust Pipes on a Ferrari
The Biggest Calves on a Normal Human Being
The Coolest Photographers
The Strangest Bars
The Most Expensive Restaurants
The Most Riotous-Looking Non-Riotous Scenes
And Finally, The Oldest Living Things (yes, this tree is over 400 years old).
So, if you go to France, make sure you're bringing your A game.

ReplyDeleteWow, interesting to see that kind of opinion about France ^^ Usually, we think that some other countries are more "extreme", and the most relevant example is certainly the US. Big country, big cars, big buildings...
ReplyDeleteI really like this caption : "The Most Riotous-Looking Non-Riotous Scenes" ^^
Thanks for your comment on my blog, by the way ;)
I certainly agree that extremes are a matter of perspective! I'm sure it's just 'extreme' in comparison to the 'norm' here in the US.
